My voice.
Our story.

"I will carry you as far as my hooves will carry me. But sometimes I need someone to listen when my hooves hurt."

Sabine Straub

The head & heart of TACTGefühl

Sabine is the one who's taking the lead today. As an engineer, she's never satisfied with "That's how we've always done it." She wants to understand. She wants to get to the bottom of things.

She leads TACTGefühl to spread a vision: that hoof care isn't some secret knowledge, but rather logical, tangible, and learnable. She combines analytical acumen with deep empathy. She's your mentor, taking you by the hand and showing you: You can do this.

"Sabine looks where others look away. She has learned to speak my language – and now she translates that language for you."

Linda Harris

The Mentoring & the Origin

Sabine's work is rooted in TACT – The Anatomically Correct Trim. Developed by Linda Harris (USA), who realized through years of anatomical research that the hoof can only be understood if we look at it from the inside.

Linda is Sabine's mentor and continues to closely support her.

"Linda wrote the book. Sabine will read it to you – page by page, until you can write your own story."

That makes TACT feeling different

Why do conventional approaches often fail? And why is TACTFeeling not "just another hoof seminar", but an attitude?

impose form from the outside

The hoof is rasped into an "ideal shape". Angles and measurements are taken from the outside, often against the inner structure.

Understanding anatomy from the inside

We look beneath the capsule. The internal structures (coffin bone, cartilage) determine the shape. The capsule simply follows.

Dependence on the expert

"The blacksmith will take care of it." You relinquish responsibility and feel helpless when problems arise.

Knowledge for the owner

You are there every day. You learn to see, to feel, and to act. You become a competent partner for your horse.

Our scientific basis

TACT basiert nicht auf Meinung, sondern auf Anatomie.

Internal Anatomy

We look at what's inside the hoof before we work on the surface.

The hoof support

The hoof bears weight through stable structures – not through cutting away.

Sole level

The sole protects. We preserve it.

Note: TACTFeeling is educational work. Not therapy. Not diagnosis. No promise of healing.

What you can expect from me

"I'll walk this path with you. With Linda's knowledge, an engineer's clarity, and a horsewoman's heart. So that you can make the best decision for your horse."

Sabine

The origin

It all started with a horse named Valor. His hooves hurt, and traditional methods offered no relief. His owner, Linda Harris (USA), refused to accept this.

She began to research. Not on the surface, but in depth. She dissected, measured, and understood: The hoof must be understood from the inside out.

This led to the creation of TACT (The Anatomically Correct Trim) – a method that does not force the hoof into a shape, but allows it to rediscover its natural anatomical function.

"Linda hörte zu, als niemand sonst es tat. Sie verstand, dass meine Anatomie der Bauplan ist – nicht die Vorstellung des Menschen."

The road to Germany

In 2021, Simone and Sabine met in the beautiful town of Füssen in the Allgäu region. Here, too, it was a horse that showed them the way: Simone's gelding, Dodo, was suffering from mechanical laminitis. Desperation was immense, and help was scarce.

They discovered Linda's work and combined it with their own passion. Sabine, the engineer, wanted to understand the causes. Simone, the creative mind, wanted to translate that knowledge.

Not as a mere translation. But as something that could become intertwined with German equestrian culture. With respect for the source – and with the courage to develop it further.

That's how TACT-Germany came about. And TACT-Germany became TACTFeeling.

Anyone who owns horses knows about their animals' hoof health. Hooves are one of a horse's most important features and play a crucial role in its health, well-being, and performance. They fulfill several important functions, such as weight distribution, shock absorption, blood circulation, and traction. Regular and professional hoof care is essential for a horse's health. Regular visits to a barefoot trimmer and farrier are indispensable, or are they?

Why now TACT feeling

Knowledge alone is not enough. Intuition is needed. Modern hoof care often fails because it is too technical, too rigid, and too far removed from the owner.

TACT-Germany became TACTFeeling because we combine technology with intuition.

We're addressing you – the private horse owner. Not just the professionals. Because you're with me every day. You see me running. You feel my legs.
